STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS, AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Each person has basic rights and responsibilities both as a citizen
and as an individual. All service users in Hutton Park Care
Home have a right to:-
RESPECT
Treatment with dignity at all times.
Acknowledgement and acceptance of your cultural background, religious
beliefs and physical, sexual and emotional needs.
INDEPENDENCE
Space to be yourself and to look after yourself with help as
needed.
A social life outside your home and with people you invite to
visit you.
Access to medical, social, leisure and other services in the local
community.
CHOICE
Freedom to make decisions, so long as they do not infringe the
rights of others.
The opportunity to take reasonable risks.
INVOLVEMENT
Involvement in changes which will affect you.
A chance to comment and be listened to.
Information on what is in your records and who it will be shared
with.
PRIVACY
Confidentiality of medical and personal information.
Your own private space.
Non-interference in your business and personal dealings for as
long as you can manage them yourself.
REPRESENTATION
A service user’s group to express your views.
Access to the comments and complaints procedure.
The services of an independent advocate.
